We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working on a variety of heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and other large machinery. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of heavy equipment. This includes identifying and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, performing routine maintenance tasks, and ensuring that all equipment is safe and in good working condition.

responsibilities:

  • Conduct diagnostic tests and inspections to identify mechanical and electrical issues with heavy equipment
  • Repair or replace damaged or malfunctioning parts using hand and power tools
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication of equipment
  • Follow company’s specifications and maintenance schedules
  • Use specialized diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot complex problems
  • Weld and fabricate parts as needed
  • Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed
  • Ensure that all equipment is safe and in compliance with company and industry standards
  • Communicate with other team members to coordinate repairs and maintenance schedules
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years of experience working as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic
  • Knowledge of engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools
  • Welding and fabrication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
