SRM Contracting and Paving Company (a division of Superior Ready Mix) is a full service General Engineering & Contracting Company, located in San Diego CA. We have the crews and equipment to perform rough or fine grading. With four paving machines, SRM Contracting & Paving is equipped to meet the needs of any size paving project. Superior Ready Mix Concrete began in 1958 as Escondido Ready Mix Concrete, Inc.. Jack Brouwer and some partners began with one small concrete plant and a handful of small mixer trucks. With a commitment to high quality products and service, along with a conservative approach to growth, the business grew and expanded to other parts of San Diego County, as well as Riverside and Imperial Counties.
Through the years Jack Brouwer purchased his partner’s share in the business, eventually becoming the sole owner. In 1989, the various businesses acquired and built were consolidated and the company was renamed Superior Ready Mix Concrete L.P. to reflect the company’s ongoing commitment to Superior products and services. During the 1980’s and 1990’s five family members of the second generation became partners and managers in the business. Today the company produces and delivers concrete, aggregate, and asphalt to customers throughout Southern California. Superior also provides construction services and construction retail yards in some markets.
